Yet another reason why I love where I live!

I returned from a weekend scuttling around the Philly/MD/DC area late at night to see some little creatures in my driveway.  Here are a couple of pictures I snapped before parking my car:

Chupacabra?

Dos chupacabras?

There were actually three fox pups!  The next morning, I woke-up to see some motion in the grass in my backyard.  All three pups were playing with their watchful mother nearby!

What a fox.  Literally.

Blurry picture, but all three of them chasing after each other and playing around.  Aww.

Tonight and tomorrow, I'll continue preparing for an extended stay in the PA/DC/MD area playing shows in Philly, Ellicott City, Washington DC, and Baltimore before coming back.  After that, I plan on testing out some new recording techniques to get better quality videos and finally release some new material.  Also, a special shout-out to everyone who joined my new mailing list!

Love and Peace,

Henry

Performance @ Washington DC for the International Culture Awareness Month!

I'm excited!

My jazz group, Major 6th (as well as the Sheltered Turtle solo project) will be performing at Twins Jazz Club in Washington DC this upcoming Sunday, May 22nd, one of our favorite venues to play.  We were billed as an Israeli Fusion jazz and Latin ensemble as a part of the International Culture Awareness Month, so our setlist is tailored to that end.  The music we put together has been some of the most challenging and compelling works I've worked on yet, and I'm also looking forward to playing a handful of my original tunes, most of which haven't made it on my website yet!

I've Switched to Blogger!

I've been experiencing some issues with the blog function that I'd been using for my website and decided to see if a dedicated blog website would be able to streamline the features better.  Like most of these web-based things, I'm learning as I go, so I appreciate everyone's patience during all of these erratic transitions to try and make the best website I can!

The week ahead is going to be even busier than last week which saw me in Philadelphia, Washington DC, Burtonsville, and Annapolis over the weekend.  I'm looking forward to shows in Ellicott City, Washington DC, and possibly Baltimore.  While I prepare for those, I'll be completing the paperwork I need to start playing out as Sheltered Turtle again and promoting my upcoming album.  I'm also redesigning my logo and am coming up with some cool designs, writing lots of new music, and am working on getting my E-mail list updated as well as finally getting some professional photos done.  My goal is to be ready to go full speed ahead by the end of the month!

Looking forward to it all!
